I can still get my work done, I just don't have to worry about it being sent too early. It's just something that I like to do to make things a little easier for everybody. Meaning, it won't send until it's 8:00 in the morning for them. For example, if it was 8:00 in the morning for me, I might choose 11:00 AM. In the do not deliver before section, I can choose a time.
If I create a new email, if I come up here to the options tab in the email on outlook, I'll click the three dots, and I'll choose delay delivery. So one thing that I like to do, if I'm sending an email to a coworker and I know they're on the west coast is to use the send later feature in outlook. It might make their phone chirp or somehow wake them up at 5:00 AM for them, and that's not very nice. If I get up and start working at 8:00 AM, I don't want to send them an email. For example, I'm on the east coast, in the United States and my company is on the Pacific coast. This week, I'm going to give you some tips if you work in a different time zone than you live.
And welcome to Monday Productivity Pointers.
